Mumbai : Evidence available with NDTV shows that Tawahar Rana had a much bigger role to play than David Headley and in fact Headley took orders from Rana. Earlier NDTV had learnt that Rana, who along with Headley is now in the custody of the FBI in the US, had left Mumbai five days before the 26/11 attacks.

India will now ask for the extradition of both Headley and Rana who are allegedly linked to the Laskhar-e-Taiba and were planning major strikes on targets across the country.

Two days ago Intelligence Bureau (IB) sources confirmed to NDTV that terror suspect David Headley visited Mumbai eight times before the terror attack and once after the attack.

And his associate Tahawwur Rana was in Mumbai within a week of the attack – evidence that points to their possible involvement in the 26/11 attacks.
